The Potato Project / The Bridgehampton Museum
I was invited to participate in a group show by the talented and wonderful artist and curator Mark Wilson of East Hampton. He is very interested in history and memory of place - and is hosting this show about the history of potato farms in The Hamptons, before it was “The Hamptons”. We decided I should make a “Swimsuit” piece because The Hamptons IS a beach after all. My piece will be a botanical collage artwork using a burlap bag, old potato bags, chalk paints, and pressed flower materials. Stop in to see it, and what the other 25 artists made too!
